Why Running for Local Office Matters More Than Ever

National decisions don’t always reflect the needs of our community. Getting involved in local government is where we have the most direct impact. Here’s why stepping up now is crucial:

✔️Protecting Our Schools & Public Services – Federal funding and policies shift, but local leaders decide how to support our schools, libraries, and community programs.
✔️Defending Local Values – Our community’s identity and priorities are set at the local level. Diverse voices in government help ensure fair policies for all.
✔️Addressing State & National Policy Changes – When national policies don’t align with local needs—on healthcare, climate action, or civil rights—local government can push back and protect residents.
✔️Ensuring Fair Resource Allocation – Local officials decide on town budgets, public safety, and infrastructure. Who represents us determines how our tax dollars are spent.
